| Basically a traveling...configurable powerplant: It can recharge all smaller batteries and provide A.C. for other appliances....i use it to power a bug zapper and a recirculating micro-sluice. To see more solar case pictures .... go to my Projects page. |

| Metal detector: battery modification. Most metal detectors run off two tiny 9vdc batteries. This gives you about 20 minutes of usable life in the field. I added this 18 vdc power tool battery. It has about 4 hours total use between charges.... and recharges in an hour ( in the solar case). If you add it to yours...you better know some basic electronics. The 2 9vdc are added in series for 18 vdc.... but you have to take it across a resistor network from the 18 vdc because the detector wants to see the proper current (as if there were 2 9vdc batteries there). |
