It charges its own on-board sealed batteries via the sun or the
car battery...even the cigarette lighter.
The D.C. to A.C. converter takes it from there and converts it
to usable 115VAC. It can also charge a dead car battery or be
charged by it.
It is expandable.

In the 2cnd version I chose a better case.
I added a Lazy Susan to the bottom to make it easier to turn
the case to catch the sun.
I added an second, sealed onboard battery.
I also added voltage monitor and control switching.
